Join Our Team as a Procurement & Supplies Administrator
Location: KIMS Hospital, Maidstone
Contract: 10-Month Fixed Term
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm (40 hours/week)

Are you organised, proactive, and ready to make a real impact behind the scenes of a leading independent hospital? We’re looking for a detail-driven Procurement & Supplies Administrator to support our dynamic team at KIMS Hospital — Kent’s largest independent hospital.

What you’ll be doing:

In this fast-paced and rewarding role, you'll be the backbone of our Procurement & Supplies department — helping to keep everything running smoothly from raising purchase orders and managing supplier queries to supporting meetings and maintaining systems. You’ll be part of a collaborative and friendly team committed to delivering the best possible service to internal teams and ultimately, our patients.

Key tasks include:

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives on variety, enjoys working with systems and data, and is passionate about contributing to excellence in healthcare delivery.

* Supporting daily purchasing activities including requisitions, quotes, orders, and invoicing
* Maintaining procurement systems and supplier records
* Managing the busy department mailbox
* Organising and minuting departmental meetings
* Ensuring a professional and positive service at all times

What we’re looking for:

* Previous administrative experience
* Great communication skills and a professional telephone manner
* Strong IT skills and attention to detail
* A team player with a “can-do” attitude and great time management
* Some knowledge of procurement or working in a healthcare environment is desirable but not essential

Such as, what is expected of you in the first 6 months? Or, what training opportunities are there? Or, what has the interviewers experience of working for the company been like? It’s an excellent way of showing genuine interest.

It’s important to leave the interview on a positive note. If you haven’t already discussed it, you may want to ask when you can expect to hear about their final decision. When it is time to leave, smile and thank them for seeing you. Shake hands firmly and confidently, and if you have enjoyed discussing the job, tell them.
