Role Description
Join our dynamic team at Polyclear (Southampton) Ltd as a full-time, on-site Electromechanical Maintenance Engineer at our state-of-the-art facility in Southampton! As we expand our maintenance team to support our growing operations, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our cutting-edge production equipment running smoothly. This exciting opportunity involves maintaining and repairing machinery, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues with a hands-on approach, and performing preventive maintenance to ensure peak efficiency. You’ll collaborate closely with our production crew to minimise downtime, document your maintenance activities to support our Lean/5S initiatives, and uphold the highest safety and BRCGS standards, you’ll have the chance to innovate and grow with a company committed to excellence and sustainability.
Qualifications
* Experience with mechanical and electrical maintenance or repairs, preferably in manufacturing or packaging—your skills will help us thrive!
* Competence in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, bringing your problem-solving expertise to the table.
* Understanding of preventive maintenance practices and procedures to keep our operations running seamlessly.
* Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics, turning complex information into actionable solutions.
* Strong problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail, ensuring every task is completed to the highest standard.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills—we value collaboration and a positive team spirit.
* Experience in the manufacturing or packaging industry is a bonus, but enthusiasm to learn our processes is just as welcome.
* Relevant technical certifications or an equivalent qualification (e.g., HNC, HND, or degree in Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering) to kickstart your career with us.
* A full UK driving licence is preferred, giving you flexibility across our site.
