Events Operation Manager
£35–40k DOE + Overtime
40 hours per week (Monday–Friday) must be flexible
Immediate start | Full-time, dynamic schedule | Historic Venue
Are you ready to lead with purpose in a role where no two days are the same?
We’re seeking a highly organised, proactive, and passionate Events Operation Manager to join our innovative, people-first team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on variety — from managing corporate events to delivering intimate supper clubs and elegant fine dining banquets.
At the helm of operations, you’ll own every detail of event execution and make improvements throughout. From canapé receptions to seated banquets, you’ll work hand-in-hand with clients, suppliers, and your team to ensure seamless delivery — all while navigating dynamic seating plans, last-minute changes, and complex dietary requirements with professionalism and precision.
Your Role Will Include:
1. Leading event operations end-to-end: smooth setup, flawless service, efficient breakdown.
2. Coordinating all logistics — including pack lists, drinks stock, linen hire, disposables, and service plans.
3. Managing dynamic seating plans and ensuring client updates and last-minute changes are integrated seamlessly without compromising operational flow.
4. Maintaining operational integrity across every detail, ensuring due diligence, compliance, and preparation.
5. Refining and documenting systems in a clear, practical “Handbook” to support consistency and growth.
6. Organising and managing a trusted freelance and agency team, with clear role briefs and leadership.
7. Training staff in fine dining and high-end service standards, running event briefings, and upholding excellence at all times.
8. Acting as the calm, professional point of contact for clients, confidently managing expectations and adapting to shifting requirements.
9. Supporting off-site events (2nd location).
10. Staying in sync with HQ, sharing updates, insights, and opportunities for improvement.
11. Using event management systems, spreadsheets, and digital tools confidently — strong computer literacy is essential.
What We’re Looking For:
12. A confident, hands-on leader with a natural flair for organising and delivering polished, high-impact events.
13. Proven experience in events operations (corporate and bespoke private), ideally with exposure to historic venues.
14. Strong service background with a passion for detail, excellence, and guest satisfaction.
15. Ability to stay calm under pressure, communicate clearly, and always lead with a solutions-first approach.
16. Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic schedule, with immediate availability preferred.
