Family Lawyer (Solicitor / Legal Executive)
Location: Wimborne, Dorset
Salary: Competitive, DOE
A well-established and highly regarded law firm is seeking an experienced Family Lawyer to join its friendly and supportive team in Wimborne.
The Role
You will manage your own caseload of privately funded family law matters, working closely with clients to provide clear, pragmatic advice during what are often sensitive and complex situations.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing a varied caseload of private family matters
* Advising on divorce and separation
* Handling financial settlements, including more complex cases
* Dealing with private children matters and arrangements
* Drafting and advising on prenuptial and postnuptial agreements
* Supporting clients through negotiations and, where necessary, court proceedings
* Providing a high level of client care and maintaining strong relationships
* Contributing to the continued growth of the department
About You
* Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEx)
* Ideally 2+ years' PQE in family law (flexible depending on experience)
* Strong experience in privately funded family work
* Confident managing your own caseload independently
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Empathetic, professional, and client-focused approach
* Resolution membership (desirable but not essential)
