Job Summary:
As a SOUS Chef at Borgo Sheffield, you will play a crucial role in our kitchen team, ensuring the preparation and delivery of high-quality dishes to our customers. You will be responsible for assisting in meal preparation, cooking, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients for menu items following standard recipes
- Cook and plate dishes according to food safety standards
- Assist in the setup and stocking of food stations
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate order preparation
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen area
- Follow proper food handling procedures and regulations
- Contribute to a positive team environment by communicating effectively with colleagues
Qualifications:
- Proven experience working in a restaurant kitchen environment
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Strong passion for culinary arts and meal preparation
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus
