Borders Buses have a rare and exciting opportunity for a skilled PSV/HGV Mechanic to join their team at Berwick-upon-Tweed to help maintain our fleet and ensure we operate to the highest possible standards.
Main responsibilities include:
* Vehicle maintenance, servicing and repairs on the varied fleet, including MOT preparation
* Prompt repair of all defective vehicles to the highest standard in a timely and cost-effective manner
* Ensure vehicles are maintained in accordance with the Company’s Operator Licence
* The ability to organise daily workload, communicate effectively and work flexibly
* The ability to work to the highest health & safety standards
Job requirements:
Essential:
* You will have a qualification in PSV/HGV maintenance and repair to NVQ/SVQ Level 3 or international equivalent
* 2 years experience
* An understanding of DVSA compliance
* Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
* Full Category D PCV licence (if you don't have it, dont worry, we have our in-house Training School)
