Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Server to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensuring a memorable dining experience for all patrons. Previous experience in a restaurant environment is preferred, along with a passion for food and beverage service. Duties
* Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
* Take accurate orders and relay them efficiently to the kitchen and bar staff
* Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
* Ensure guest satisfaction by checking on tables regularly and addressing any concerns promptly
* Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
* Handle payments accurately using the POS system, including processing cash and card transactions
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including setting tables before service and clearing after
* Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
* Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed, supporting kitchen staff during busy periods
* Demonstrate excellent time management skills to ensure smooth service flow during shifts
Skills
* Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant service is highly desirable
* Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food handling
* Ability to perform basic maths accurately for billing and transactions
* Strong guest service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour
* Good organisational skills to manage multiple tables efficiently
* Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* Basic understanding of food preparation processes; culinary or kitchen experience is advantageous
* Excellent time management to ensure timely service delivery
* Upselling skills to promote menu items effectively and enhance guest satisfaction
* A proactive attitude with a team-oriented approach to deliver outstanding customer experiences

Pay: £7.55-£12.21 per year
