The Role
The Component Engineer role is an important part of our design process which ensure our electronic development are performed efficiently and delivered for long term availability requirements. The role requires an individual who is very well organised such that a variety of large amount of information can be tracked and managed properly all in a timely manner.
What will I be doing?
Working as part of a team, you will:
1. Assist with component approvals and maintenance of components database on ERP system.
2. Help design engineers with component selection for new designs.
3. Review Bills of Materials (BoM) for new and existing products at assess availability and lifecycle status.
4. Assist in reviewing Product Change Notifications (PCNs) and component end of life notices.
5. Work with Procurement to help resolve supply issues by identifying suitable alternative components.
6. Support compliance activates, including monitoring RoHS and REACH compliance
