Overview
Air Conditioning Engineer required for our client, a specialist M+E services provider who have been established for 45 years, operating throughout the UK. They require an Air Conditioning Engineer to work across the East Midlands area and surrounding regions.
The Air Conditioning Engineer will work across a range of commercial sites, including prisons, educational buildings and government sites. The position covers the East Midlands (typically Derby and Nottingham) with some travel across the Midlands as required.
The Air Conditioning Engineer will be tasked with the service, maintenance and repairs of air conditioning units such as VRV, VRF, split and multi-splits. Experience in commercial refrigeration is highly advantageous. The engineer should ideally live in the East Midlands, specifically Derby/Nottingham or within a commutable distance.
You must hold FGAS 2079, a full driving licence, and have industry experience fault finding, maintaining and servicing air conditioning units.
Position Requirements
* 5+ years' minimum experience in a similar position
* Experience with maintenance, service & commissioning on air conditioning equipment
* Highly advantageous to have experience working on commercial refrigeration
* Level 2 or Level 3 NVQ Air Conditioning and Refrigeration or equivalent
* 2079 Safe Handling of Refrigerants (F-Gas)
* Full Driving Licence
* Live within a commutable distance of Derby or Nottingham
Position Remuneration
* Basic Salary 38,000 to 43,000 depending on experience
* Working hours - 8:00am to 4:00pm, plus overtime available
* No on call rota
* Travel paid after 30 minutes each way
* Overtime at enhanced rates (up to 1.82x basic rate)
* Company van and fuel card
* Annual Bonus: Discretionary, based on business and individual performance after 12 months of service
* Holidays: 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
* Death in Service Insurance: 3x annual salary
* Enhanced Sick Pay: 4 weeks full pay after 7 days of sickness (post-probation)
* Tools & Equipment: Mobile phone, tablet, and specialist tools provided
