Purpose Of Role
As part of our ongoing growth and commitment to fostering strong community relations, we are seeking a dedicated Procurement Officer/Buyer. Responsibilities
* Procuring construction materials and plant for allocated contracts, with potential to expand into subcontract procurement as you grow with us.
* Evaluating supplier quotations and ensuring compliance with specifications and budgets.
* Raising purchase orders using our COINS system, following internal processes.
* Resolving invoice queries and supplier disputes with a positive, solutions focused approach.
* Allocating and reporting on costings.
* Managing and monitoring supplier performance and helping to build a robust supply chain.
* Supporting our site commercial and accounting teams and liaising with site teams daily.
* Assisting our tendering and estimating team as needed.
What we’re looking for
We’re seeking someone who is enthusiastic, organised and eager to learn. The ideal candidate will have:
* Experience in construction procurement.
* Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
* Excellent negotiation abilities and attention to detail.
* A proactive, can-do attitude and the initiative to solve problems.
* A willingness to broaden their knowledge and take on new challenges.
* A full, valid driver’s license.
* Proficiency with computers (Email, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
