Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities

The Junior Fellows are primarily involved in the daily management of intensive care (GICU) patients and surgical high dependency patients (SHDU). Attendance at ward rounds is expected. Routine work is shared among all junior medical staff. Trainees will be expected to have or be willing to acquire skills such as central venous insertion (CVC) and arterial cannulation. More complex procedures may be undertaken if progress allows. Fellows should gain adequate knowledge and experience in all organ support measures. Meticulous record keeping and methodological clinical handover are essential.
