The National Autistic Society is looking for Support Workers to join our fantastic teams in Thornbury, Gloucestershire. This advert is for a bank worker position. The pay for this position is £12.21 per hour.
Pinecroft is our specialised residential home where we support autistic adults who have a variety of mental health needs. We support them to develop skills to promote their health and wellbeing, inclusion in the local community and greater independence. We are looking for staff with a “can do” approach who can offer active support to facilitate and enable the people we support to progress and move on.
We are looking for people with the passion, commitment and enthusiasm to work with individuals living in their own home who frequently access the local community and participate in activities such as walking, train rides, swimming, visiting the supermarket and bus journeys.
Ideally, you will have a background in supporting autistic people, but if not, we have a training programme that will help you achieve a fulfilling job. You may have a personal connection, a desire to work with or real-life experiences working with autistic people. You will have experience supporting vulnerable people in a residential setting and, if you share our values and are willing to make a difference to the lives of autistic people, we’d love to hear from you. This role involves supporting individuals with a range of needs to engage in community opportunities, supporting activities, and helping them make the most of their day. If you are compassionate, reliable, and enjoy working in a fast-paced team where no two days are the same, we’d love to hear from you.
Your working pattern in this role will require flexibility to meet the needs of the people supported and their families and will include evening and weekend working.
This is a bank worker position. The pay for this position is £12.21 per hour.
The Role Includes

Possession of a driving licence (minimum one year) is essential
