This is an exciting role within the Hazardous Waste team, providing leadership to ensure the regime is sustainably resourced, meets all internal audit reviews, and remains fit for the future.
Role duties and responsibilities include:
1. Conducting a holistic review of hazardous waste charge funding and outcomes, including exploring options for improvements.
2. Implementing recommendations from this review, which may involve:
* Assessing the distribution of monies
* Evaluating KPIs
* Developing and delivering innovative ways of working
1. Other responsibilities may include:
* Advancing recommendations from internal delivery audits
* Supporting the implementation of Improving Regulation initiatives
* Driving hazardous waste activities in the area and increasing visibility
The team
The Environment & Business (E&B) Hazardous Waste team is a small, high-performing group within the Regime Regulation team of E&B Waste & Resources Regulation. We lead hazardous waste management efforts, supporting government, industry, and colleagues to ensure proper handling of hazardous waste.
