Your new opportunity
Quarriers East Dunbartonshire services (phase 3) are currently recruiting relief Support Workers to join the team who support people across Milngavie, Bearsden & Milton of Campsie.
As a Support Worker you will provide support to adults within their own homes, homes they live in with family and out and about within the local community enjoying local activities. Your duties will be varied, and no two days will be the same allowing you the opportunity to learn and develop while supporting people to live fuller happy lives.
The service provides 1-2-1 support to individuals who have learning disabilities or complex brain injuries and its important you have excellent verbal and written communication skills to be able to communicate with others effectively. Some of the day to day duties will include person care, household chores and assist in taking part in a wide range of special interests and activities that support their health and wellbeing such as, watching the footie, drama, musical evenings, gardening at the allotment, shopping & banking trips and social occasions.
Working pattern: Shifts will vary and flexibility is required in order to support people during the times they need. Rota's are planned approx. 4/6 week in advance. This is a relief based contract and will be based on service needs.

* A full driving license is desirable due to the location of some of the services. Some of the people supported have their own vehicle which can be used to take them to places they might want to visit or for general tasks such as shopping and appointments.
