Role overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic Christmas seasonal Sales Assistant to play a vital role in delivering an exceptional shopping experience for our customers. This is a temporary position within the JD Group, which values career development and motivation for progression.
Responsibilities
* Providing a knowledgeable and seamless customer experience for all customers that enter the store.
* Continuously maintaining clean and tidy stock standards on the shop floor.
* Collaborating with team members to achieve sales and KPI targets through knowledge of current trends, in‑store promotions, and evolving store processes.
* Driving sales, ensuring targets are achieved and, where possible, exceeded by utilising in‑store devices and offering the full product range, including alternatives and add‑on sales at every opportunity.
* Replenishing stock levels to maintain full‑size range on the shop floor.
* Ensuring product is priced correctly.
* Deputising for other staff, working across departments, or carrying out other duties as required.
* Representing JD Sports in a professional manner and conducting work safely and responsibly.
Skills and Experience
* Positive attitude towards a fast‑paced, customer‑focused retail environment.
* Ability to view challenges as opportunities to develop personally and learn new skills.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, thriving in social situations through engagement with customers.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, based on store needs.
