As a Senior Level Designer focused on User Generated Content (UGC), you will be instrumental in creating AAA-quality content, ranging from multiplayer maps to single-player missions, using player-facing creation tools. This role blends artistry and technical skill, requiring a passion for crafting engaging, immersive, and fun game environments. Candidates must have game development experience and provide a portfolio demonstrating a range of exciting level designs.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design and develop engaging levels or gamemodes, from concept to final implementation, aligned with the overall game vision.
2. Specialize in environment creation or gameplay mechanics, depending on your expertise.
3. Collaborate with artists and programmers to incorporate gameplay, logic, and aesthetics into levels.
4. Use feedback from leads and directors to iterate on content, balancing creativity and functionality.
5. Communicate effectively across teams to solve problems and ensure project cohesion.
6. Mentor less experienced team members.
7. Stay updated on industry trends and tools to enhance level design and player experience.
Requirements
* A portfolio showcasing levels, missions, gamemodes, or gameplay created within game engines or creation tools.
* 5+ years of industry experience is highly valued.
* Strong understanding of level design principles and what makes games enjoyable.
* Experience with game engines (e.g., Unreal, Unity) is beneficial but not mandatory.
* Familiarity with scripting or blueprint systems is a plus.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and motivation to overcome design challenges.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, adaptable environment.
