One of my key clients working in the EV Sector based in Oxfordshire is hiring a Control Systems Engineer for their business.
The company specialised in the development of Electric Vehicles and EV Components. They are expanding rapidly and are flexible with working arrangements.
Control Systems Engineer
Oxfordshire
£40k to £55k
Hybrid WFH - 2/3 days per week
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define control system requirements for vehicle dynamics or powertrain applications.
* Design, develop, and validate control algorithms using simulation tools and real-world testing.
* Conduct analysis and optimization of control systems to meet performance targets, including stability, traction, fuel efficiency, and emissions.
* Support integration of control systems into vehicle platforms, working closely with hardware and software teams.
* Participate in vehicle testing and validation activities, including track testing and on-road evaluations.
* Continuously monitor industry trends and advancements in control systems technology to identify opportunities for improvement.
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
* Proven experience in control systems development, particularly in vehicle dynamics or powertrain applications.
* Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink and other relevant simulation tools.
* Strong understanding of vehicle dynamics principles and control theory.
* Experience with real-time embedded systems and software development.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
