About the Role
The RNLI is a charity that saves lives at sea through lifeboat search and rescue, lifeguards, and water safety education. The charity is now seeking a CAF Manager (Estates Process and Systems Owner) to play a crucial part in shaping and delivering Estates process and system solutions that support the organisation’s mission.
Key Responsibilities
* Working with senior stakeholders across Estates, Legal, Finance, Lifesaving and Fundraising operations to understand strategic direction and the role of the Estates Management System within this.
* Translating organisational strategy into a set of target capabilities for estates and frontline teams, clearly articulating how value is driven through process and technology.
* Defining and communicating the vision for the Estates Management System, ensuring alignment with operational plans.
* Working closely with internal teams, volunteers and external partners to gather requirements and translate these into actionable roadmaps to support staff and volunteers working with RNLI buildings and land.
* Collaborating with stakeholders across functions and ITS to define priorities across new feature development, fixes, security features, controls and maintenance.
* Managing change effectively across the applications lifecycle, evaluating upstream and downstream impacts to ensure an excellent user experience.
* Working with Estates, Legal and Finance data owners to drive and maintain improved data quality within the Estates Management System, supporting the resolution of data quality issues as required.
* Ensuring GDPR principles are considered at every stage of the data lifecycle, including retention and destruction.
* Working closely with ITS to support and expand system integrations where beneficial.
* Advocating for user needs at all times, ensuring systems are intuitive, accessible and effective.
* Managing stakeholder communication and prioritisation forums to ensure collaborative backlog management that delivers value, security and safety.
* Defining and analysing key performance metrics to drive continuous improvement in Estates service delivery.
* Managing a team of administrators providing day-to-day BAU support and configuration services to Facilities and Regional Estates teams.
* Undertaking ad hoc tasks as required as part of the Estates leadership team.
Skills and Experience
* Familiarity with Estates work supported by Computer Aided Facility Management (CAFM) systems.
* Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams.
* Experience of developing and embedding processes to improve service delivery.
* Excellent communication, problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Strong stakeholder management capabilities.
* Experience of data management, data governance and quality assurance.
* Knowledge of process management and change control principles.
* Experience supporting or managing business-critical systems.
* Understanding of the Estates domain knowledge.
* Experience of project management methodologies.
* At least 26 days’ annual leave plus public and bank holidays, rising to 30 days with service.

Salary
£49,492 to £58,226 per annum, dependent on experience.
Location
Hybrid working arrangement between home and Poole.
Contract
Temporary, fixed term until the end of 2027.
