We are currently recruiting for a part-time Administrative Assistant to join a friendly and professional office team in Thatcham. This is a great opportunity for someone organised and people-focused to support the day-to-day running of a busy office environment. The role offers a consistent part-time schedule across four weekdays.
Role Overview:
As a Part-Time Administrative Assistant, you will be responsible for providing hands-on support with daily administrative tasks. You will be the first point of contact for clients and visitors, manage routine communications with suppliers, and assist with key tasks such as ordering consumables, handling phone calls, and raising purchase orders. You will work closely with both the office and workshop teams to ensure smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Greet clients and visitors in a professional, friendly manner
* Raise purchase orders accurately and follow company procedures
* Monitor and respond to incoming emails from clients and suppliers
* Order and maintain stock of office and workshop consumables
* Answer incoming telephone calls, take messages, and redirect queries appropriately
* Support general admin functions to assist the wider office team
Requirements:
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Confident and courteous phone manner
* Comfortable using email and standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office)
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage tasks independently
* Friendly, professional, and reliable with excellent timekeeping
* Able to work consistently within the hours offered
Working Hours:
* Part-time: Monday to Thursday
* 09:30 – 14:30 (20 hours per week)
