Department: Business Development Location: Slough Compensation: £28,000 / year Description We're Tiro - a leading provider of science and technology apprenticeships. We've got big ambitions and are looking for a Sales Development Representative to join our team to support our growth. We’ve been helping hungry apprentices to join ambitious businesses since 2005. At Tiro, we really believe that great apprenticeships help everyone. Because there are remarkable apprentices out there just waiting to be found, and fantastic employment opportunities waiting to be filled. But our work will never be just about getting bums on seats and pocketing our commission. In our own small way, we’re helping to change the world – finding people that are working on COVID vaccines, finding new ways for technology to help humanity and helping to tackle the big issues of the day, like climate change. We’re proud to be playing our part in making that happen, and we’re looking for more like-minded people to join team Tiro. The Role In this role, you’ll be an integral part of our sales function – highly motivated and tenaciously driven (to the point of obsession!) to change the world with science and technology apprenticeships. You’ll work to solve the growing skills gap within the sector by creating more opportunities for ambitious businesses to bring hungry talent into their workforce. You’ll play a pivotal role in our growth strategy – identifying, contacting, qualifying and nurturing new potential customers, expanding market presence and exceeding sales targets. You’ll be proactive and creative in how you seek to engage hungry science and technology businesses. About You We’re looking for someone who’s a customer-centric thinker – with experience of interacting with customers to provide WOW moments, you’ll love interacting with people, with a knack for quickly establishing rapport with your friendly and personable nature. Extrovert or introvert (or mix of the two!) – we don’t mind - either way you’ll be driven to not take NO for an answer. Your specialty will be resilience – remaining steadfast in the face of adversity, persevering and finding ways around the seemingly impossible. As a tech-savvy person, who loves a process, you’ll work to high standards, providing quality services to your team and our customers. You’ll be happiest when collaborating with others, working as part of the wider SDR and CRM team. You’ll receive: Starting salary of £28,000 Generous uncapped commission circa. £10,000 per annum Full training and clear development path A modern office space close to Slough station 1 day WFH per week 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays Hours of work – you can choose your own hours, providing you’re around when stakeholders need you, you’re smashing your targets and clock up 37.5 hours per week Travel requirement 5% employee / 3% employer pension contribution Staff Events and Away Days Dedicated mentoring and coaching by one of our Client Relationship Managers
