An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join a well-established family-run business providing haulage, plant hire, and waste services across Kent and the South East.
As a Senior Bookkeeper, you will be providing day-to-day support to the Accounts Manager across a range of financial tasks in a fast-paced office environment. This full-time role offers a salary range of £31,000 - £35,300.
Responsibilities include:
* Managing purchase and sales ledgers
* Carrying out credit control procedures
* Processing payroll (preferably using IRIS software)
* Performing regular bank reconciliations
* Preparing VAT and CIS returns
* Assisting with the production of monthly accounts
* Maintaining accurate records and supporting general administration tasks
Qualifications and experience required:
* At least 5 years of bookkeeping experience
* Background in payroll processes and software (IRIS preferred)
* Hands-on experience with Sage Accounts Professional
* AAT Level 2 (or equivalent) qualification or higher
* Confident in VAT and CIS return preparation
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Shift:
- Monday - Friday: 8:00am - 4:30pm
