Role Purpose
Forsyth Barnes is currently partnered with a leading organisation seeking an experienced Infrastructure Project Manager to oversee and deliver multiple technical projects. The successful candidate will thrive in complex delivery environments, working across matrix-managed teams and third-party suppliers to ensure high-quality outcomes within budget and timeline constraints.
You will have deep experience delivering in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies and be well-versed in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). This role requires a clear communicator, a strong problem solver, and someone confident holding teams accountable and providing transparent progress reporting to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Delivery
* Take full ownership of assigned projects, driving them from initiation to completion.
* Make timely decisions to maintain project pace and alignment.
* Keep delivery teams focused and well-coordinated, escalating where needed.
* Bridge communication between IT leadership, architecture, and technical teams.
* Ensure technical requirements and constraints are addressed in solutions.
* Delegate effectively, hold team members accountable for outcomes.
* Manage project budgets in line with stakeholder-approved commercials.
* Maintain delivery lifecycle documentation and regular stakeholder reporting.
* Create and manage delivery plans, RAID logs, and support problem resolution.
* Contribute to and manage version-controlled documentation and change control.
* Drive robust change management practices and documentation discipline.
Stakeholder & Supplier Management
* Communicate with stakeholders using clear, plain English to manage expectations.
* Facilitate discussions to drive consensus or escalate decisions with recommendations.
* Engage project/service stakeholders with proactive and positive communication.
* Manage third-party suppliers to ensure value, quality, and strong relationships.
* Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders on business design and process definition.
Leadership & Best Practice
* Stay current on project management trends and contribute to internal best practices.
* Motivate and manage cross-functional project teams; mentor and coach where needed.
* Contribute to the broader Transformation function and participate in strategic initiatives.
* Champion effective delivery methodologies (Agile and Waterfall).
* Ensure full compliance with UK regulations, company policies, and governance standards.
