Job Title: Technical Specialist - Store Security & Systems Maintenance
We are seeking a dedicated Technical Specialist responsible for maintaining and repairing security and communication systems in designated stores. The role involves responding to first-call incidents related to Fire, CCTV, EAS, Access Control, PA systems, and Automatic Pedestrian Gates.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Undertake maintenance and repairs according to KPIs set by the customer, including response, repair, first fix, and closure.
2. Ensure all planned, reactive, and statutory works are completed in accordance with contractual obligations as outlined in the CityFM Bookcase.
3. Complete PPM works within agreed timescales, ensuring all paperwork is accurately filled out following company procedures and standards.
4. Respond promptly to service call requests from the Helpdesk during working hours and on-call periods. Out-of-hours issues should be referred to the specialist first.
5. Order parts as required, ensure prompt fitting upon delivery, and chase outstanding parts not received within 5 days.
6. Complete all necessary documentation to measure service performance and undertake surveys as requested.
7. Regularly communicate with the Duty Manager during store visits to report repair and maintenance issues affecting store operations.
8. Ensure all tools and equipment needed for maintenance and repairs are available and in good condition.
9. Perform Fire PPM visits in accordance with BS5839 standards.
10. Ensure Fire alarm systems comply with BS 5839 and report any defects.
11. Stay informed about relevant regulations and codes of practice.
12. Notify the helpdesk of procedural and task conditions upon work completion.
13. Conduct surveys and complete reports as directed by supervisors or technical specialists.
