Job Description Summary
This position will support the coordination and management of global R&D procurement and sourcing needs of GE Pharmaceutical Diagnostics’ (PDx) R&D team. Responsibilities include supporting key supplier aspects of drug development, preclinical, and clinical trials globally, in line with PDx category strategy.
Responsibilities
* Support the development and maintenance of a lean, strategic supplier management approach for R&D supply base.
* Ensure activities with external vendors comply with Good Clinical Practice, Good Manufacturing Practice, SOPs, and company policies.
* Collaborate internally across R&D, Sourcing, Product Management, Supply Chain, Quality, and Regulatory teams.
* Support onboarding of new suppliers, identify gaps, and address business needs regionally and globally.
* Support strategic sourcing strategies and develop contracting frameworks.
* Assist in the selection of suppliers such as CROs, CMO labs, Imaging, ePRO, etc., for R&D efforts.
* Generate RFIs, RFQs, RFPs; coordinate bid defenses and proposal reviews.
* Support contract lifecycle management, including drafting, negotiations, and change orders.
* Work with various teams to support contractual and budgetary needs.
* Ensure quality oversight of suppliers in partnership with Quality teams.
* Monitor and report supplier performance using KPIs and scorecards.
* Support supplier governance and operating reviews.
* Develop partnerships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
* Stay updated on industry practices and develop strategies accordingly.
* Contribute to complex initiatives and special projects as needed.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field with related industry experience.
* Experience in category management, sourcing, and delivering effective category strategies.
* Experience in pharmaceutical research operations, compliance, clinical trials, and vendor management.
* Experience in preclinical or CRO environments is advantageous.
* Strong interpersonal, leadership, and project management skills.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with all management levels.
* Ability to learn complex industry details quickly and influence stakeholders.
* Inclusive mindset, ability to build rapport, and energize teams.
