We are currently recruiting Unqualified Teachers to work in secondary schools across Rhondda Cynon Taf (RCT). This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who want to gain classroom experience, start a career in teaching, or work flexibly around other commitments.
Many of our Unqualified Teachers go on to complete teacher training or progress into other roles within education.
The Role
As an Unqualified Teacher, you will step into the classroom when a teacher is absent and deliver lessons that have already been planned.
You will help ensure students remain focused, engaged and working in a positive learning environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Delivering pre-prepared lessons to students in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Maintaining a calm and focused learning environment
• Taking registers and following safeguarding procedures
• Supporting and encouraging students to complete their work
• Providing feedback to teaching staff after lessons

Previous school experience is helpful but not essential.

A driving licence is helpful but not essential.
Requirements
Before starting work you will need:
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
• Education Workforce Council (EWC) Registration
• Two professional references covering the last two years

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
