Overview
Subject Matter Expert - Mechanical Data Center Design EMEA (m/f/d) at TieTalent. This role is part of the NTT Global Data Centers/Design Standards team, focused on translating Owner Project Requirements into the Global Reference Design and supporting regional deployment through third-party architects and engineers.
Responsibilities
* Be a key member of the Global Design Standards team, supporting regional understanding of the Global Reference Design (GRD) and its engineering details as localised and deployed through third party architects and engineers.
* Interface with internal stakeholders from parallel business functions, the NTT Product team and Regional Delivery teams.
* Support design reviews at all stages of project design and delivery as required.
* Consult with Engineering, Expansion, Construction, Operations, Product and Sales teams to ensure optimal design decisions with careful assessment of risks and opportunities.
* Contribute to the development of the Global Reference Design and regional variants.
* Contribute to Owner Furnished Contractor Installed equipment specifications and procurement.
* Act as a focal point for lessons learned to inform GRD development and cascade to Regional Design Management teams.
What we are looking for
* University degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical, Mechanical, Architectural, Building Engineering or related discipline).
* Significant knowledge and experience deploying Mechanical Engineering installations in new build data centers for hyperscale wholesale and traditional enterprise colocation.
* Experience working internationally and highly developed communication skills.
* Proficient understanding of other design disciplines required to deliver a new data center facility.
* Remote working with travel approximately 15% of the time.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
