About the role
The Transport & Infrastructure Service delivers capital improvement projects to Cheshire East’s strategic highway and transportation networks supporting economic growth across the Borough in line with Local Plan Strategy and regeneration objectives. It also manages the Council’s fully integrated Highway Services Contract, the provider delivering maintenance and operational services.
In this key role you will provide technical and administrative support across the Transport & Infrastructure Service, including, financial, technical and administrative systems, to ensure effective and efficient delivery of the service.
The ability to work under pressure is important and your excellent communication skills will enable you to develop collaborative working relationships with the members of the service including the Highways Service Provider.

About you
The role will require you to assist in delivering the effective management of the Transport & Infrastructure Service, which includes the development, implementation and monitoring of the Highway Service Contract.
The successful candidate will have:

3. Ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines;
4. Time management and problem solving skills;
5. Experience of using financial systems in particular for raising purchase orders and processing invoices;
6. Effective teamwork & communication skills
7. The ability to converse at ease with our internal and external customers;
