As the Assistant Store Manager of our iconic store in Fort William, you will assist in managing the profit and loss of your store through effective team leadership. We seek candidates who are commercially aware and KPI-focused, with a strong ability to monitor and respond to sales figures to ensure profitability. Customer service is paramount, and you will be expected to drive excellent service through the sales team and lead by example.
The ideal applicant must have retail experience, preferably at supervisor or management level. Knowledge of the outdoor sports market would be advantageous.
Key Skills and Experience:
* Experience in merchandising within a retail environment.
* Team management experience.
* Ability to train and develop team members.
* Experience dealing with the public.
* Cash handling and banking experience.
* Stock room management experience.
* Good product knowledge.
* Understanding of health & safety regulations.
* Active participation in outdoor activities.
Typical Responsibilities:
* Accountability for overall store performance, including customer service, team management, product management, and daily operations.
* Ensuring compliance with company policies and operational procedures, including handling disciplinary actions and investigations in coordination with HR.
* Providing innovative and practical solutions to store challenges.
* Evaluating performance using KPIs and identifying areas for improvement.
