Style Midlands (MK Door Systems Ltd) have been an established company since January 2000, we are a specialist moveable/folding partition and acoustic panels subcontractor based on Coalville, North-West Leicestershire, LE67 3HB. We cover sites across the Greater Midlands region of the UK for Style Group. We have an industry wide reputation as the leading provider of moveable & acoustic products and we are partnered with world leading manufacturers such as Dorma Hüppe, Skyfold & Autex. Working with leading Architects, Principal Contractors & Fitout firms to deliver projects on time and to the highest quality.
We are in need of a Project Supervisor who will take on assigned projects handed over from Sales. Ultimately ensuring the successful delivery and installation of our products for incorporation to the customers project on time and on budget.
The ideal candidate will have some level of experience in the construction industry and ideally a technical background which has involved surveys and/or setting out. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability or working towards the ability to demonstrate leadership to act as a liaison & decision maker between our site operatives and the project management team of our customers.
Initially working under the tutelage & direction of a Senior Project Manager the candidate will learn our processes and the products we are installing, including the key interfacing trades to ensure a successful snag free installation and handover to the Client.
Working towards becoming a full Project Manager with projects being assigned independently when fully qualified and the relevant experience has been attained.
Current, valid driving license required.
Responsibilities
* Generally acting as Style Midlands' customer representative on assigned projects once handed over from Sales.
* Agreeing project objectives with our customer – often within the context of Pre-Start meetings either in person or over Teams.
* Carrying out technical surveys and providing site reports to allow drawings to be produced for customer approval and that suitable H&S considerations have been considered.
* Production of project specific RAMs & COSHH assessments from an annually reviewed (by others) suite of Company wide Risk Assessment templates.
* Creating take-off schedules from drawings and client documentation provided.
* Providing technical advice on our products and warning customers about conflicts with interfacing trades.
* Supervise operative teams, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project execution.
* Reporting to Project Manager & Company Directors as required.
* Managing the programme to ensure the customer is aware of key approval dates.
* Ensure we are carrying out our installations where the site has suitably progressed. Site visits / phone conversions to establish progress will be essential.
* Ensure that H&S, Quality & Environmental standards are met and in line with Style's Integrated Management System.
* Carrying out H&S inspections when operatives are active on-site.
* Carrying out quality inspections & Client handovers/demonstrations as required.
* Attending weekly department progress meeting.

Experience
* Construction Role - Technical Surveying/Project Coordinator/Site Supervisor - 5 years (preferred)
* Currently valid SMSTS ideal or previously attained SMSTS/SSSTS. As working towards SMSTS will be required for progression with the role.
