Vehicle Technician Location: Colchester Salary: £38k - £42k Pro Rota Actual Salary £22,800 - £25,200 Hours: Part Time 3 Weekdays 8am - 6pm NO WEEKENDS We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Vehicle Technician to join a close-knit, family-run site based in Colchester. This is an excellent part-time opportunity for a qualified technician who values work-life balance, quality-focused work, and a friendly team environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles. You’ll be working in a supportive setting with no weekend work and no efficiency targets, allowing you to focus on doing the job right. Vehicle Technician benefits No Weekend Work 22 Days Annual Leave (Pro Rata) No Efficiency Targets Excellent Training & Career Progression Opportunities Team Building Activities Supportive, Family-Run Environment Vehicle Technician responsibilities: • Diagnose and repair vehicle problems, including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical issues. • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections. • Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex issues. • Keep accurate records of all work performed and parts used. • Communicate with customers about vehicle issues and repair recommendations. • Maintain a clean and organized work area. • Keep up to date with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques.
