What You’ll Be Doing:
As a key player in our Nuclear Reactor Commissioning Team, you will:
* Lead and Manage: Oversee the complex delivery of the Test & Commissioning program within your section.
* Plan and Review: Ensure products are integrated, safe, compliant, and tested within agreed requirements for cost, quality, and schedule.
* Maintain Compliance: Ensure all commissioning activities adhere to the Operational Framework and Test & Commissioning policies.
* Engage with the Reactor Test Group: Participate in document preparation, review, and evaluation.
* Chair Meetings: Act as the Nuclear Authorisation & Test Evaluation Committee Chairman when required.
* Develop Your Team: Assess and enhance team members’ skills to maximize their contributions.
* Optimize Resources: Ensure efficient use of Test & Commissioning resources and capabilities.
* Improve Processes: Review and refine procedures to enhance efficiency and establish a best-in-class capability.
Your Skills and Experiences:
We’re looking for someone who has:
* Capability to hold Duly Authorised Persons appointment for nuclear hold-points.
* Demonstrable experience in Nuclear/Reactor Systems and/or Propulsion Systems Testing & Commissioning (submarine experience preferred).
* Strong leadership skills to manage the Commissioning Team effectively.
* Experience in managing delivery to plan and schedule in a similar environment.
* A solid understanding of Nuclear Site Authorisation/Conditions and/or COMAH.
* Excellent communication skills to explain complex engineering processes.
* Ability to influence at all levels across the business.
* Contextual understanding of technical issues across various engineering disciplines.
* Typically an Incorporated Engineer working towards Chartership and a member of the relevant institute.
* ILM Level 2/3 or CMI Level 3/5.
* MBA/MSc/Degree in Engineering discipline or equivalent experience.

About the Nuclear (Reactor) Commissioning Team:
In this role, you will oversee all aspects of our Test and Commissioning team’s complex operations. You’ll manage individual boat contracts and interface with both internal and external stakeholders. We offer tailored relocation support across all Submarine roles, subject to eligibility criteria.
