We are recruiting 6 Weekend Youth Support Workers
to join our team to work in Children's Residential Care Homes.
We are in a unique position in that we can take on individuals who might not necessarily have the relevant qualifications and experience, as we have a dedicated training department that can train and support individuals to succeed within this role. We believe that some of the best support workers are those with life experience who are seeking an opportunity to work within the care sector.
You will be working with young people aged 11 to 21, who have been placed into the care system for various reasons, with a range of disorders, behaviors, and needs. Therefore, we require individuals with confidence, understanding, patience, and the skill set to work successfully with these young people and make a positive impact on their lives.
This position involves providing guidance, interaction, and support to children and young adults within residential, educational, or independent living settings, aiming to create a safe environment that caters to their intellectual, spiritual, social, and emotional needs.
In this role, you will support service users throughout the day with tasks such as meal preparation, social activities, family contacts, education, and shopping. Please note that this position does not require personal care.
We are looking for positive role models for children and young people.
We seek flexible, reliable, and interactive individuals interested in working within a specialist environment. Full accredited training and qualifications, including Team Teach, Child Protection, St Johns Ambulance First Aid, Understanding Sexualized Behaviour, Working with Self-Harm, Cyberbullying, and Understanding Autism and ADHD, are provided.
Applicants must complete an enhanced DBS or provide a portable DBS and successfully complete one of our induction programs before placements are offered, unless you are on the new national DBS database.
