Grampian has strong partnerships across Public, Private, Third Sector and Communities in the Northeast with many examples of good practice and innovation to protect and improve population health. In common with Scotland as a whole, the pandemic has compounded many of the health challenges we are grappling with, which are significant and in places worsening.
We are looking for an innovative, creative, experienced individual who can work closely with the Director of Public Health and the Senior Team in Grampian to provide leadership and capacity to deliver our Plan for the Future. As Deputy Director of Public Health you will be surrounded by leaders seeking to transform their systems to improve the health of the population. Leaders who aspire to put population health at the centre of everything they do.
If successful, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of specialist Public Health advice to a wide range of stakeholders, commissioning of high quality Public Health Services and the development of Community-Centred Health Improvement Programmes for the population of Grampian. It is important to us to do so in a way that nurtures and grows the skills in our team. You will also deputise for the Director of Public Health making this an ideal role for an experienced Public Health Consultant looking for a new challenge.
