Estates Apprentice Electricians - Apprenticeship (Annex 21)

ESTH Trust are looking for Apprentice Estates Electrical Technicians to work in Property maintenance at an AFC Band 5 (Annex 21) - 37.5 hours a week. This is a 3 year apprenticeship depending on start date.
Salary details: £21,457.80 - £32,599.50 Annex 21 - 60% top of Band 5 (Year 1), 65% top of Band 5 (Year 2), 70% top of Band 5 (Year 3), 75% top of Band 5 (Year 4).
Job summary
ESTH Trust are looking for Apprentice Estates Electrical Technicians to work in Property maintenance at an AFC Band 5 (Annex 21) - 37.5 hours a week. This role will be required to work trust-wide across Epsom, ST Helier Hospitals. The duties include training to become a electrical technician capable of highly complex fault finding and maintenance on all aspects of engineering plant and equipment throughout the Trust. The duties must be carried out within stringent timescales and within statutory guidelines. The post holder will have day to day contact with internal and external stakeholders regarding sensitive, complex and confidential issues. They will present verbal, written and numerical issues, explaining complexities, to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. Job responsibilities
Technical
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance
* Fault find on complex Air Handling Units and Refrigeration Plant, and perform regular Planned Preventative Maintenance when required
Information and reporting
* Responsible as part of the local team for the information upkeep of the CAFM
* Investigate incidents and report back into the management structure
* Produce engineering reports when requested for safety groups and trust committees
Technology or system support
* Be conversant with the CAFM via handheld PDA system
* Be conversant with BMS and Bold systems
Communications and Engagement
* Provide and receive complex information to managers and end users
* Provide and receive highly complex, sensitive or contentious information
* Communicate technical project related information with other professionals to ensure work conforms to statutory and HTM requirements
* Work with relevant services within the trusts to ensure due process and governance in delivery of additional works
General responsibilities
* Support the department and organisation by carrying out other duties that fit within the scope of the role
* Assist visitors, patients and staff during incidental contact
* When required, assist in grievances and disciplinary issues
Person Specification
Qualifications
Essential
* C&G, NVQ or similar in a mechanical discipline
Desirable
* oCPD in line management oHNC/HND in an engineering discipline oCompetent person in specialist subject such as safe water oTime served apprenticeship
Experience
Essential
* Experience of working with advanced plumbing and/or mechanical systems
* Fault finding on mechanical systems with ability to isolate, keep running and fully repair
* Experience of delivering safe water services tasks, temperature monitoring, cleaning and chlorination of taps/TMVs and fault finding on systems
Desirable
* Experience in healthcare premises
* Working with a PDA installed with CAFM, MICAD and Zetasafe
Knowledge
Essential
* Sound knowledge of mechanical systems
* In-depth knowledge of HaSaWA and other relevant acts, standards and guidance notes
* Understanding of permit to work systems, risk assessments and good working practices
Desirable
* Knowledge of HTM, and HBNs
* Basic understanding of asset management (PPM and reactive tasks, SFG 20)

* Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications
* Awareness of diversity and human rights as appropriate to the role
