Salary: £44,500 per annum, Negotiable based on experience. Full and part time hours available.
Beacon Medical Services Group is a well-established provider of community ultra sound for the NHS. Our Ultrasound Service is a model of excellence and because of continued year on year growth we are now recruiting additional Sonographers to join our team. We are looking for highly motivated Uk experienced Sonographers to join our well established clinical team. You will be working alongside a great team of professionals that are passionate about delivering an excellent patient experience and maintaining the highest standards at all times.
Main duties of the job
Jobpurpose
Towork autonomously in providing a ultrasound service to scan a wide selection ofpatients, creating a written report on the results and discussing these, whenappropriate, with the patient. A minimum of a post-graduate certificate inMedical Ultrasound, clinical expertise and excellent written and verbalcommunication skills are essential requirements.
Scope
The post holder will be required to work flexibly to supportthe Ultrasound service within clinics across several sites. This may include workingwith different teams and environments on a regular basis. The range of ultrasound we provide, include abdominal, general medicine, pelvis and superficial imaging. MSKultrasound skills are an advantage. The Sonographer will have a minimum of twoyears postgraduate experience in medical ultrasound from a AccreditedUk University.
Prime responsibility
To contribute to theprovision of the highest standards of sonography practice and patient care, inaccordance with company standards, procedures and protocols.

Weare commissioned by the NHS to provide Ultra sound at the various locations,across Stockport. We deliver non obstetric ultrasound using the latest GE Mobile machines. The range of ultrasound we provide, include abdominal, general medicine, pelvis and superficialimaging. MSK ultrasound skills are an advantage.
The Sonographer will have a minimum of two yearspostgraduate experience in medical ultrasound from a Accredited UkUniversity.

Key tasks/responsibilities :
· To provide general abdominal, pelvic, small parts and MSK (ifappropriately trained) ultrasound scanning services in conjunction with otherSonographers and health care professionals.
· To independently perform ultrasound scanning duties to the required standardsof Beacon Medical and to produce a clinical report for each ultrasound scanundertaken.
· To undertake any administrative duties that may be necessary for speedyprogression of patients and patient results.
· To actively participate in matters concerning clinical governance,clinical audit and assessment.
· To have responsibility for ensuring active participation in continuingprofessional development (CPD).
· To adhere to company policy and procedures in terms of health andsafety, data protection and confidentiality.
· To give full co-operation in any investigations of a complaint oruntoward incident and comply with company procedure to that effect.
· To ensure that professional and technical knowledge/expertise is kept upto date and to maintain a portfolio to show evidence of personal professionaldevelopment.
· To be able to work independently within a clearly defined set of BeaconMedical protocols and make informed clinical decisions .
· For each examination undertaken, a comprehensive diagnostic report willbe formulated .

3. Diploma of College of Radiographers or BSc Hons Radiography or equivalent
4. Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Ultrasound
5. Registered with the HCPC and On the RCT register
6. Eligibility to reside and work in the UK
Desirable
7. Clinical Experience
8. To be able to work independently in all main areas of Ultrasound practice
9. Ability to offer expert clinical opinion on a range of ultrasound procedures
10. 2 years post qualification experience gained in NHS trust practice
11. Ability to organise and manage ultrasound lists and priorities
12. Ability and willingness to work within the company performance framework and quality targets
