Job Description:
An exciting new role within our Property Function! We are seeking a skilled and motivated Automation Technician to join our team. In this role, you will prioritize maintaining and repairing brand-new equipment, applying your technical expertise to ensure outstanding performance and continuous improvement principles. A passion for customer service is essential, as you will understand the impact of your decisions and the efficiency of your maintenance work, operating within your training and experience to ensure a safe environment for all.
You will maintain and repair cutting-edge equipment in our Urban Fulfilment Centre (UFC), utilizing your experience and technical knowledge. You will ensure that equipment operates in its optimum state through regular inspections, completing maintenance tasks according to good engineering practice, and striving to improve the equipment where possible.

You will be responsible for:
1. Completing maintenance to a high standard, ensuring issues are repaired immediately or logged for future attention.
2. Operating safely at all times, dynamically risk-assessing all jobs to ensure safety.
3. Building effective relationships with colleagues and stakeholders across departments.
4. Supervising site performance to ensure operational efficiency, understanding metrics like availability and performance.
5. Being proactive with time management to provide value to customers and support continuous improvement.
6. Documenting major breakdowns/outages using root cause analysis methods.
7. Supporting maintenance budget adherence through a no-waste approach and testing replaced equipment for future use.
8. Maintaining accurate records in the CMMS and completing shift reports to a high standard.
9. Managing spare parts and labor costs effectively.
You will need:
* Hands-on experience in engineering/maintenance with highly automated equipment.
* Electrical/mechanical cross-skilling.
* Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
* Data analysis and presentation skills for timely decision-making.
* Influencing skills and high standards of work.
