Business Support Manager

Location: Long Marston, Warwickshire
Employment Type: Permanent
Salary: Up to £45,000

Our client is investing heavily in the future of rail technology, developing a state-of-the-art facility that will play a key role in testing, training, and innovation across the industry. This site will be home to pioneering projects and a range of technical and operational activities that support the continued growth and modernisation of the UK network.

They are seeking a Business Support Manager to join their close-knit and passionate team. The ideal person will be someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and takes pride in ensuring operations run seamlessly.

About the Business Support Manager role:

The Business Support Manager will provide high-quality, comprehensive administrative and operational support to the site management team. You’ll act as the main point of coordination across meetings, reporting, and stakeholder engagement while overseeing key financial and onboarding processes.

This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same, ideal for someone who enjoys responsibility, structure, and collaboration.

The key requirements for this Business Support Manager role are:

1. Provide full administrative support to the management team, including diary coordination, meeting organisation, and event management.
2. Prepare and distribute agendas, minutes, and reports; track deadlines and follow up on actions.
3. Support senior managers with correspondence, communications, and document preparation.
4. Act as the first point of contact for internal teams and external visitors, ensuring a professional and welcoming experience.
5. Coordinate and oversee financial administration, including invoicing, requisitions, and expenditure tracking.
6. Liaise with the finance team to ensure accurate billing and adherence to company processes.
7. Support onboarding of new starters, including induction, access, and workspace setup.
8. Maintain site consumables, PPE, and general supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels.
9. Work closely with the management team to uphold company presentation and operational standards.

Experience required for this Business Support Manager role are:

10. Educated to A-Level or equivalent
11. Proven experience in a Business Support Manager or similar administrative leadership role
12. Strong communication and coordination skills
13. Experienced in handling financial and confidential information
14. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Desirable knowledge, skills & experience for this Business Support Manager role are:

15. Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail
16. Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively
17. Previous experience supporting operational or technical environments
