We're looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to support our Accounts Payable function. In this role, you'll be responsible for processing invoices, reconciling supplier statements, and ensuring timely payments. If you have a keen eye for accuracy, strong organisational skills, and a passion for numbers, we’d love to hear from you.
What you will be doing
Accounts Payable
* Log, authorise, and process supplier invoices
* Manage payment runs (monthly and ad-hoc) for suppliers and intercompany transactions
* Resolve supplier disputes and queries
* Review and reconcile supplier statements
* Maintain supplier records and ensure ledger accuracy
* Support month-end close for Accounts Payable
Cash Management
* Process monthly direct debits and standing orders
* Perform monthly bank reconciliations (GBP and foreign currency accounts)
* Assist with month-end close for cash management
* Handle customer refunds and intercompany payment corrections
Fixed Assets
* Maintain and review capital expenditure requisitions (CAPEX database)
* Update fixed asset register with additions and disposals
* Process journals for asset disposals (gain/loss)
* Calculate monthly depreciation
Travel expense management
* Act as main liaison for our Travel Management Company (CTM) and Airplus company card
* Process and reconcile travel-related invoices
We think you should have:
* Experience in an accounts or finance role, ideally with a focus on Accounts Payable
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems
* Experience with Dynamics AX is highly desirable
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
