As Dynatrace’s Sr. Director Logs Management & Analytics you will be a critical member of the sales engine, responsible for driving revenue growth and technical excellence across our largest markets.. You will oversee a team of subject matter experts (SMEs) focused on Log Management and Analytics, with a mission to expand DVC’s footprint across Enterprise customers in the UK, Germany, and France
Reporting directly to the VP of Sales – Logs, you will play a dual role:
Managing and mentoring a highly skilled logs team focused on our Enterprise Customers, and growing our Logs Management/Analytics footprint in these accounts – ensure rollout of value-based evaluation scenarios including demonstrations, labs, POCs, and pilots to close business, and align cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders.
A hands-on strategic partner to the Sales organization, influencing deal strategy, driving pipeline progression, and ensuring world-class customer engagement throughout the sales cycle
You will collaborate cross-functionally across Sales, Product, Marketing, and Customer Success to translate complex technical capabilities into clear business outcomes.
What We’re Looking For:
Ambitious, confident and self-motivated individual, with previous Sales or SE & leadership experience and/or another customer facing role.
Passionate about innovative technology tech sales and articulating value to customers and prospects.
An excellent team player, with the ability to work across all disciplines
Deep domain expertise in log management and analytics with strong working knowledge of the observability space.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical topics into business value
Extensive knowledge and experience working with Enterprise companies across EMEA
Previous experience with log analytics technologies and techniques
Ability to troubleshoot technical issues to produce a working outcome and be able to manage this process
Comfortable managing a number of projects simultaneously, while working with a variety of different sales teams
Strong desire to grow professionally, adapt to an ever-changing environment and coachable
Responsibilities:
Hire, develop and lead team of high-performing Logs SMEs who serve as our core product introduction, evaluation and education experts Coordinate cross functional dotted line resources to achieve your team goals
Evangelize Dynatrace’s product offerings during international trade shows and at key customer account meetings to promote new and expanded business
Partner with sales representatives to identify new sales opportunities within existing, or newaccounts
Present Dynatrace’s vision to our customers C-suite executives
Provide solution guidance in the Discovery, Solution Evaluation, and Solution Proposal stages of the opportunity sales cycle
Present on-stage demonstrations providing insight and context to our customers during key marketing events; either at Dynatrace sponsored industry events or partner sponsored events, ensure key demonstrations are delivered by you or a team member at demonstration booths
Gather, qualify and provide feedback from customers to Product Management to improve Dynatrace’s market share and meet the market needs
Drive operational excellence through repeatable processes, knowledge sharing, and ongoing team enablement
Work with local Sales and Sales Engineering leadership to identify learning/ development opportunities to maintain Dynatrace’s leadership position in the market
Must be able to travel up to 30% across the region as required.
What Will Help You Succeed
Ideally a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (equivalent experience)
Ideally 5+ years of experience in log management and analytics space
5+ years of leadership experience in similar capacity
Experience with query languages such as SQL, SPL, or KQL.
Experience with observability and log collectors/pipelines such as FluentBit, OpenTelemetry, Cribl, and Logstash.
Experience with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Experience with programming / scripting side technologies such as Java, .NET, PHP, Go, Node.js and database.
Advanced knowledge of Operating Systems (OS) including Windows and Linux.
Experience with DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering practices
Knowledge with cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure or GCP
Experience with modern technologies like containers, Kubernetes / OpenShift, Serverless functions, and CI/CD pipelines
Experience with automation like Ansible, Puppet, Terraform, etc
