Instructional Designer Day rate contract, 40 days in total Remote with 1 day a week on site in London (can be flexible) Start Monday 16th June Our client is a well-established education body which is known for it's excellence in research, global connections, and teaching quality. They are currently on the lookout for an experienced, early-stages Learning Designer to work on a number of Master's level programme modules and ensure they are at their best pedagogical and academic quality before release. Project Overview: Working on Master's-level modules for existing programmes. Main focus initially on a National Development and Politics module. Additional modules may follow in related areas such as: Healthcare legislation Policy-making Geopolitics Law (nice to have background) Social Sciences Responsibilities: Transform raw academic content into digestible, structured learning content No development work or build required – focus is Instructional design only Storyboarding academic content using existing templates (primarily Word documents) Some understanding of Virtual Learning Environments (VLEs) required, but hands-on technical skills not essential Supported throughout by another Learning Designer Must be comfortable having academic discussions around pedagogy and learning structure Required skills and experience: Proven experience designing Master’s-level academic content Strong instructional design skills, including storyboarding and structuring academic material into online learning formats Ability to work collaboratively with academics to translate raw content into engaging, digestible learning materials Familiarity with VLEs (e.g. Moodle), with an understanding of how content is structured for online delivery Excellent written communication and attention to detail, using established templates and documentation standards
