Risk & Control Lead - Capital Markets / HCR sought by leading investment bank based in the city of London. **Inside IR35 - 3 days a week on site**
A leading global financial institution is seeking a highly skilled Risk & Control Lead to design, develop and implement Human Capital Risk (HCR) frameworks within a complex Markets environment.
This is a strategic role focused on strengthening risk management standards, enhancing control effectiveness, and driving consistent practices across diverse business lines.
The Role
You will play a pivotal part in shaping and embedding HCR risk and control capabilities. Working closely with senior stakeholders across Markets, you'll ensure robust risk identification, assessment, monitoring and reporting practices are in place and aligned to firm-wide expectations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and execute Inherent Risk Assessments tailored to HCR risks across Markets businesses
2. Analyse Manager Control Assessment (MCA) data, identify gaps, and partner with stakeholders to drive remediation
3. Define, standardise and implement HCR controls and monitoring across multiple business areas
4. Collaborate with Markets teams to understand risk drivers and ensure appropriate controls are designed and executed
