As a part-time optometrist, you will play a pivotal role in providing top-notch optometry services within our esteemed hospital. Person specification


Knowledge

* Knowledge of Optometry, Optics, & Ophthalmology
* Knowledge of Orthoptics
* Knowledge of hospital optometry/orthoptics


Qualifications

* Batchelor of Science in Optometry or equivalent qualification.
* Registration with the General Optical Council
* Additional training relating to orthoptics or learning disability


Further Training

* Continuing Professional Development
* experience of clinical audit


Experience

* Experience working as an optometrist
* Experience of working with children
* experience of working with children/adults with complex needs


Contractual Requirements

* Provide optometry service for Sherwood Forest Hospitals Trust
* able to travel to cover Newark Hospital
