Are you an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer looking to work for the UK's leading Facilities Transformation company?
Responsibilities
As a Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer you will be responsible for carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance, reactive and emergency tasks on gas appliances and associated equipment along with plumbing maintenance and other building repairs, including fabric & basic electrical maintenance tasks as and when required. You will anticipate, diagnose and repair faults, ensuring all tasks are completed within contractual timescales and that electronic documentation and certification is completed timely, accurately and to legislative standards. Candidates must be on a call‑out rota to provide out‑of‑hours cover, assist other team members and support operations when directed by a Supervisor or Operations Manager. A proactive approach to sourcing additional opportunities or works on sites is required, including quoting information and monitoring subcontractors for quality, health and safety and issuing appropriate permits and escort duties.
Qualifications
* City & Guilds Level II/III or equivalent in relevant disciplines
* Commercial gas qualifications:
o COCN1 or CODNCO1 (CCN1)
o TPCP1 & TPCP1A
o ICPN1
o Appliances CIGA1, CDGA1, CORT1
Experience
* Maintaining, testing & fault‑finding on gas appliances, boilers, pumps, ventilation and associated equipment
* Working on HVAC equipment including Air Handling Units
* Knowledge of health and safety and safe working practices
* Plumbing works
* Experience in Facilities Management industries
* Basic electrical knowledge is desirable but not essential
Person Specification
The successful candidate will be committed, reliable and have a strong customer care focus. They will be punctual, flexible, a good communicator across all formats and able to work as part of a team as well as independently. They will hold a full, clean driving licence and have good health and safety awareness and knowledge.
