In this role, you will:
Deliver engaging and high-impact GCSE English lessons that spark curiosity and confidence in learners.
Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment where every student feels supported and empowered.
Track progress with meaningful feedback and tailored support to help students thrive academically and personally.
Take on pastoral responsibilities when needed, contributing to the holistic development of our learners.
What you will bring to the role:
Inspire a love for language and literature, helping students connect with texts in meaningful and relevant ways.
Create engaging, student-centred lessons that cater to a range of learning styles and abilities.
Foster confidence in communication, both written and verbal, equipping students with essential life skills.

Use assessment effectively to track progress, provide constructive feedback, and tailor support to individual needs.

Criteria:
Essential criteria:
* Level 4/equivalent qualification in English Language/Literature.
* PTTLS, City and Guilds 7407, Certificate in Education, DTLLS or equivalent or PGCE or working towards relevant qualifications that allow for effective teaching of the subject matter.
* Experience of teaching GCSE English Subjects.
* Experience of teaching 16–18 and 19+ learners.
Desirable criteria:
* Degree or equivalent
* Qualification in English Language/Literature
* Assessor Award
* Experience of coordinating exams
