Graduate/Trainee Technologist (Birmingham) – June/July 2026 Start Date

What You’ll Experience
* Software Engineering: design, build, and maintain high-quality software solutions using modern programming languages and frameworks.
* Test / QA Engineering: develop automated and manual testing to ensure quality and reliability.
* Data & AI: explore data pipelines and apply machine learning / generative AI to solve real-world problems.
* Low Code: use low-code platforms to rapidly deliver solutions with maintainability and integration in mind.
* Platforms: gain experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and automation to ensure secure, scalable, and performant solutions.
Program Structure
* 8-week AI-first Technologist Academy to build foundations in engineering practices, cloud platforms, QA, low-code, and data & AI.
* Early Careers Programme with hands-on project work and mentoring to develop technical, professional, and business skills.
* Opportunity to rotate across teams, projects, and business units to develop leadership potential.
Responsibilities
* Develop high-quality solutions that impact users worldwide.
* Collaborate within a team to solve problems and deliver innovative software.
* Learn new technologies and approaches with support from colleagues.
* Contribute to real projects from design through deployment.
* Work in Agile teams to deliver value iteratively and collaboratively.
Minimum (Essential) Requirements
* Currently studying towards, or already obtained, at least a Level 6 bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject.
* Familiarity with at least one programming language.
* Understanding of the software development lifecycle from studies or experience.
* Ability to make effective decisions with team support in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong team skills and the ability to take direction from others.
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills; collaborative mindset and willingness to learn.
* Demonstrated willingness to learn generative technologies to drive innovation and deliver results.
Desirable
* Exposure to cloud platforms, test automation, or data tools.
* Experience on projects (academic or personal) that demonstrate curiosity and initiative.
Things To Know Before Applying
* Working Arrangements: 5 days per week in the contracted office for the 8-week AI-First Technologist Academy. Afterward, hybrid work is possible with agreement from your People Manager.
* Travel: Travel may be required for certain client projects; limits and notice will be provided.
