We have a rare opportunity for an organised and enthusiastic individual to become part of our well-established team responsible for the delivery and success of the Great Yorkshire Show.
As Livestock & Entries Officer, you'll play a vital role within the Livestock & Entries Department, providing high-quality administrative support and helping ensure the smooth running of livestock entries and related activities. This is a permanent, full-time role operating on an annualised hours contract to reflect the seasonal nature of the work - with busier periods leading up to the Show and quieter times afterward.
Key Responsibilities
* Arrange Livestock Section Committee meetings and produce accurate, comprehensive minutes.
* Administer the invitation and coordination of Show Stewards, building strong working relationships with Section Chairpersons.
* Work with our online entry system to manage exhibitor information and livestock entries.
* Handle a wide range of enquiries from exhibitors, farmers, and the general public.
* Carry out general administrative duties including database updates, photocopying, and preparing show packs for exhibitors.

We're looking for a proactive and reliable team player who thrives in a busy, varied environment and enjoys engaging with people - particularly within the agricultural community.
Skills and experience:
* Proven experience in an administrative role.
* Excellent customer service and communication skills.
* Strong IT skills, with high proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe PDF.
* Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
* Ability to work independently and use initiative and be able to cope under pressure.
* A positive attitude, common sense, and a good sense of humour!
Essential:
* Agricultural knowledge or experience working within the farming sector is essential.
