The Role
A Bespoke Relocation Manager will manage relocation services for the most senior employees of our clients worldwide. The role requires strategic thinking, effective communication, and problem‑solving skills to support time‑poor, high‑profile executives who travel extensively.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
As single point of coordination for employees and their families, you will work with our specialist partner network across a range of services:
* Household goods
* Sourcing and booking temporary accommodation
* School search
* Local area orientation
* Home finding
* Tenancy negotiation and settlement
* Language and intercultural support
* Departure services
* Expense management
* Pet services
* Client‑specific services
In addition to building ongoing relationships, your daily tasks will include:
* Developing close working relationships with client human resources teams
* Understanding and adhering to client policies and procedures
* Managing partner performance, including home‑search, education consultants, estate agents and household goods partners
* Accurate, timely record updates in the company operating system (Ascent)
* Generating required Ascent reports
* Resolving issues and escalations
* Project‑managing multiple employee moves across different clients and industries
* Controlling cost and revenue to maximise profitability per relocation or service
* Attending client reviews and presenting as required
* Applying a concierge style to the service, supporting unusual or challenging requests such as moving artwork, horses, boats, domestic staff or private jet hires
Experience and Qualifications
* Minimum of 5 years of senior relocation or operations lead experience
* In‑house or on‑site (client‑side) experience
* Knowledge of the end‑to‑end relocation process, including third‑party involvement
* Understanding of household goods moving (import, export, third‑country moves) or the ability to learn and apply this knowledge
* Good understanding of customs documentation worldwide
* Knowledge of the UK property market and property law
* Commercial awareness to maximise profitability of each relocation
* Ability to build and maintain relationships internally and externally
* Confidence and professionalism in all client interactions
* Consultative and proactive approach
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills; good presentation skills
* Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
* Ability to multi‑task and work well under pressure
* Additional language skills are an advantage
* Flexibility in a changing working environment; ability to work both as part of a team and independently
* Creative problem‑solving and initiative
* Effective time management and organisational skills
* Willingness to learn new skills and undertake continuous professional development
* Passion for delivering outstanding client service
* Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) are an advantage
* Openness to global travel when required

* Proficiency in a second language, fully conversant in reading, writing and understanding
