Commissioning Technician (EC&I) Duration: 52 weeks Employment Type: Full-time, site-based role – 11 shifts on, 3 shifts off NIGHT SHIFT ROLE Reports to: Commissioning Manager Main Purpose: To develop and implement commissioning arrangements across all site activities, including installation, commissioning, and handover, thereby supporting the overall project lifecycle.

The Commissioning Technician will ensure that all work on the MENSA project is conducted in strict accordance with approved procedures, as directed by the Commissioning Manager (or delegate), and will promptly escalate any technical or safety concerns.
This position may also involve undertaking specific tasks within the commissioning team, including installation duties as required.
Key Responsibilities: Comply with the agreed Commissioning Quality Management System, accurately applying procedures, codes, and standards.
Provide functional input to commissioning deliverables.
Report job progress clearly and promptly to the Commissioning Manager (or delegate).
Maintain comprehensive commissioning documentation, including test records and commissioning reservations.
Adhere to Safe Systems of Work (SSoWs) to perform tasks safely, and report any safety concerns without delay.
Conduct commissioning tests in accordance with the agreed schedule.
Complete and manage all commissioning records and raw data related to tests thoroughly.
Assist in compiling and reviewing Commissioning LTQR (Lessons, Trends, Quality Reviews) packages.
Contribute proactively to maintaining a safe site environment, including active participation in Environment, Safety and Health (ESH) initiatives.
Essential Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience: Recognised Level 3 qualification in a relevant engineering or construction discipline.
IOSH Working Safely, IOSH Managing Safely, or CCNSG Safety Passport certification.
Demonstrable electrical commissioning experience.
Valid CSCS affiliated card.
Desirable Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience: Experience within the nuclear industry.
Previous site commissioning experience on nuclear projects.
Knowledge of the 18th Edition IEE Regulations (Electrical).
Level 3 qualification in Periodic Inspection, Testing, and Certification of Electrical Installations.
Understanding of loop testing procedures.
Ability to interpret schematic drawings with precision.
