Compensation: £25,000 - £27,500 / year
Key Responsibilities
* Identify and win new business by proactively reaching out to potential clients across your region using cold calling and outbound sales techniques.
* Work to clear financial targets and KPIs, consistently striving to exceed monthly revenue goals and performance benchmarks.
* Manage and grow existing client accounts, providing ongoing support, identifying upsell opportunities, and increasing client spend through strategic recommendations.
* Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline, using a consultative approach to move prospects through the sales cycle.
* Build long‑term relationships with clients by providing expert advice, excellent service, and ongoing support.
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and campaign delivery for new clients.
* Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and LOCALiQ’s evolving product suite to maintain a competitive edge.
* Represent LOCALiQ with professionalism and credibility, acting as a trusted ambassador for our regional news brands.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Strong communication and influencing skills – confident speaking with business owners and decision‑makers, building rapport quickly and guiding conversations toward meaningful outcomes.
* Experience in outbound calling – comfortable picking up the phone, starting conversations, and creating opportunities through proactive outreach.
* Confident in securing new business over the phone – know how to ask the right questions, handle objections, and close deals with professionalism and energy.
* Able to grow and nurture existing client accounts – understand the value of long‑term relationships and can spot opportunities to add value and increase client spend.
* Delivers exceptional customer service – committed to providing a seamless, supportive experience for every client, every time.
* A consultative, client‑focused approach to selling – listen, learn, and tailor recommendations to meet each client’s unique goals.
* Proven B2B sales experience (advantageous) – willing to welcome candidates with limited sales exposure who bring a strong work ethic and genuine drive to succeed.
* Understanding of multimedia advertising (advantageous) – familiar with digital and print advertising, though training will be provided.
* Able to commute to the office daily – based within reach of the office and happy to be part of a collaborative, on‑site team.
