About the Role: Logistics Administrator – 12-Month Student Placement We are offering an exciting 12-month Year-In-Industry opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic student or recent graduate to join our Logistics Department. Reporting to the Head of Logistics and working closely with our planning, customer service and operations teams, you will play a key role in supporting the order processing and despatching of consignments. This is an ideal placement for a university student pursuing a degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Key Responsibilities: Logistics Administrator – 12-Month Student Placement Prepare and arrange transport and documents for the shipping of products from our Manchester site Communicate with planning, customer services and production daily Sanity check documentation to ensure information required is available, before booking transportation Communicate with suppliers on a daily basis, mainly hauliers/couriers. Communicate with our external customers as and when required Provide daily updates in sufficient detail to all internal stake holders as required Adapt to challenges with agility and a customer-first mindset while identifying cost-saving opportunities Manage and arrange inter-company shipments between factories and warehouses. Arranging collections / returns from suppliers and customers Book couriers online and manually notify customers and / or sales of shipping details. Track and resolve issues with customs, and provide necessary information required for clearance. Learn how incoterms contribute to international and European shipments Maintain data in various spreadsheets and provide analysis to the extended team where required Attend daily meetings to discuss consignments with internal customers to ensure OTIF and customer first Any other duties within the post holder’s competence as requested.
